Notice: Consultation on Proposed Vaping Products Reporting Regulations
On June 18, 2022, Health Canada published the proposed Vaping Products Reporting Regulations in the Canada Gazette, Part I.
Vaping, especially among Canadian youth and non-users of tobacco products, remains a public health concern. The vaping market is evolving rapidly with the constant introduction of new vaping product technologies and novel product characteristics. Timely access to information is needed to better understand the impact of vaping product use on the health and safety of Canadians.
The specific purpose of this consultation is to gather feedback on the proposed regulations to require reports from vaping product manufacturers and importers. Forms prescribed by the Minister would have to be used to electronically submit product sales and ingredients reports to Health Canada.
Health Canada is seeking your feedback on the draft Regulations during the consultation that will close on August 2, 2022.
