NOTICE OF TAX RATE INCREASE TO SKEETCHESTN TAX PAYERS

 

DATE: JUNE 17, 2020

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT,

Due to cost increases of approximately $100,000 annually to Skeetchestn to provide fire protection, garbage pickup, and other services to tax payers, Skeetchestn will be setting the 2020 tax rates equal to that of 2019, as shown below.

The rates as set will increase tax revenue by $28,886 for the 2020 tax year in accordance with the First Nations Tax Commission policies, and the Skeetchestn Indian Band Property Taxation Law, 2008.
